Dr Apala Aggarwal Tuteja is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a De-addiction Specialist with a rich clinical experience in diagnosing and treating persons with mental illnesses. She has done her MBBS and MD in Psychiatry from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.
Dr Apala has diverse interests in clinics, teaching and research. She believes in a holistic tailor-made approach for her patients for better overall treatment outcomes. Her papers have been published nationally and internationally in reputed journals. She has attended numerous conferences, workshops and CMEs and has won several prizes in quizzes and presentations. Given her rich clinical experience, she is often invited for health talks hosted by corporate clients.
Dr Apala has worked in both government as well as private set up and has managed many resistant and challenging cases. She has expertise in Adult, Child-Adolescent and Geriatric Psychiatry. Additionally, she has a vast experience in De-addiction and Emergency Psychiatry. Having done her post-graduation from a General Hospital Psychiatric Unit, she has proficiency in Psychosomatic Medicine and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry as well. She is a strong proponent of combined approach of treatment (Talk therapy as well as Drug therapy) and involves the families in the treatment process enabling comprehensive care to her patients. She develops personalized treatment plans for all types of mental illnesses such as Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, Substance Abuse, Bipolar Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyper-kinetic Disorder, and many others.
